Hello Newark Families and Community Members,

We are reaching out one more time to invite you to register for an event on Saturday, May 18th – Bright Beginnings: A Conference to Support Newark Families for Kindergarten Success!

More than 250 people have signed up – and we have less than 50 spots left! You can register right now by clicking here.

One feature of this conference is all the resources that will be provided. In addition to over 15 community partners and schools present, we will have sessions in the following areas:

  • Family Engagement
  • Enrollment and Registration
  • Special Education
  • ELL Services

When you sign up to attend the conference, we ask you to indicate what areas you are interested in so that we can plan for your attendance!

Kindergarten Conference on Saturday, May 18th (Details)
The conference is for all Newark families of students ages 2-5 preparing for Kindergarten.

You can register for the conference here. Key details for the event include:

  • Time: May 18th, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Location: The Paul Robeson Campus Center at Rutgers University-Newark

See the flyer below for all details about the event, a few key resources include:

  • Free Parking: Free parking will be provided, and information about how to access parking will be sent the week ahead of the conference.

  • Learning Zone: Children’s author Diana Lee Santamaria will be there to read to students, along with other adults to provide care and engaging learning experiences to children during the conference. Parents must register their students. Students must be potty trained.

  • Lunch: Coffee and snacks will be available on arrival and lunch will be provided to eat there or to grab and go toward the end of the conference.
