Join NJCF, the United Way of Greater Newark, and Program for Parents on Saturday, May 18th for Bright Beginnings: A Conference to Support Newark Families for Kindergarten Success!
The conference is for all Newark families of students ages 2-5 preparing for Kindergarten. It will provide a resource and school fair, and breakout sessions that give parents information about kindergarten enrollment and registration, how to access English Language Learner (ELL) services at your new school, how to access special education services, and guidance on how new parents and families can best engage with their schools.

Location: The Paul Robeson Campus Center at Rutgers University-Newark

Free Parking: Free parking will be provided, and information about how to access parking will be sent the week ahead of the conference.

Learning Zone: Children’s author Diana Lee Santamaria will be there to read to students, along with other adults to provide care and engaging learning experiences to children during the conference. Parents must register their students. Students must be potty trained.

Lunch: Coffee and snacks will be available on arrival and lunch will be provided to eat there or to grab and go toward the end of the conference.
