NEWARK K-12 PUBLIC ENROLLMENT PLATFORMS OPEN TOMORROW NOVEMBER 2ND!

We are reaching out today to share the upcoming timeline for school enrollment in Newark.

The application windows for the two primary school enrollment options for families in Newark open tomorrow on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. They will be open during the following windows:

  • 11/02/24 – 2/07/25 – for Newark Enrolls (all NBOE public district schools in Newark)
  • 11/02/24 – 3/17/25 – for Newark Common App (most public charter schools in Newark)

A small number of other public charter or private schools in Newark use their own application process, and you can find those on our site on our explore schools tool.

Newark Enrolls will kick off their application period with a school fair on Saturday November 2nd, at Newark Vocational High School (301 W Kinney St)  from 10am – 2pm .

They also have a listing of high school open houses on their website.

Newark Enrolls is the application platform for all of Newark’s traditional public schools overseen by the Newark Board of Education.

Newark Common App will open applications for the 2025-26 school year on November 02, 2024. The first application phase will be open from 11/02/24 – 3/17/25

Newark Common App is the application platform for the majority of Newark’s public charter school options. It includes 10 school networks that oversee 45 individual schools, which collectively serve nearly 20,000 students in Newark.
